Press Release

New Helmet and Visor System – 1st December 2006

Lynx Avionics has announced significant changes to its aviation helmets and helmet visors which provide improvements over the previous versions of these products.

The latest helmet design incorporates a new trauma liner which has been reshaped to provide a more ergonomic fit; this makes the helmets suitable for a wider range of head sizes and – by removing pressure points in the forehead area – improves comfort for some users. The helmets are now also fitted with an adjustable visor catch and repositioned visor mounting bushes which form part of the new visor system.

The latest visor incorporates a new peak design with an improved visor pivot mechanism and improved latch to lock the visor in the closed position. In addition, the visor now pivots with a smooth action, opens further and locks into the open position; all of these features make the visor much more functional and, in particular, much more user friendly when it is fitted with a visor extension.

Lynx Avionics helmets are CE marked and certified against the European Standard EN966:1996 'Helmets for Airborne Sports'.
