Press Release

Headset Improvements – 1st November 2002

Lynx Avionics has announced improvements to their range of aviation headsets.

All Lynx headsets are now fitted with a new type of loud speaker assembly which provides additional space for the user's ears and makes the headsets more comfortable to wear over long periods. The new speaker assemblies also increase the efficiency of the speakers and improve the sound quality.

Lynx Micro System headsets are now fitted with Nickel Metal Hydride batteries (Ni-MH) which increase the autonomy of the headsets to a minimum of fifty hours use between charges; the new batteries are also less susceptible to damage from misuse or incorrect charging.

Lynx Pilot System headsets are now fitted with interchangeable leads which allow the headsets to be used in different aircraft by simply changing the lead. Standard leads are available with either Twin Jack Plug, US NATO or UK NATO connectors. The in-line connector also allows the lead to separate in an accident and is in compliance with UK Civil Aviation Authority safety recommendations (AIC 3/2002).

The new equipment is available now and can be obtained from your nearest Lynx Avionics distributor.
