Acitve Noise Reduction (ANR) Upgrade Option – 1st March 2015

Active Noise Reduction (ANR) upgrade option from Lynx

Lynx Avionics has announced an Active Noise Reduction (ANR) upgrade option for older Micro System headsets.

All Micro System headsets manufactured since 2004 are designed to accept ANR speaker modules and a simple upgrade is now available for a nominal cost of £145.00 per headset including the cost of labour.

The ANR electronics actively monitor the level of background noise inside the ear-cups and generate an equal volume of anti-noise which is opposite in phase. Installing the latest ANR technology in older headsets improves both the passive noise attenuation and the active noise attenuation properties of the headset providing a marked improvement in low frequency engine noise cancellation.

Micro System headsets that are compatible with the ANR upgrade are labelled with the part number ED 2401-7 or later. This includes all Micro System headsets manufactured during the last eleven years.

Customers wishing to upgrade their headsets should return them to the Lynx Avionics service department where the modification work will take approximately three days.
